One Way

A lot of people have exams coming up. During one of my Arabic Classes, one student asked the teacher to cancel next week’s class because of she needed to study to get a perfect grade. When we want something, like an A on our exam, or a new electronic, or to win in this competition, we always have a plan to help us make our way towards that goal. We might study, work to raise money, practice and so on. We know for a fact that sitting around and dreaming about that goal without actually putting in some kind of work will never get us to there.

As Muslims we all pretty much have the same ultimate goal; to get to the highest level of Paradise, Al-Firdaus.

The Battle of Badr

The Battle of Badr took place in the blessed month of Ramadaan in the 2nd year after the Hijrah.

The Battle of Badr has been referred to in the Qur’aan as the “Day of Furqaan”. Furqaan in Arabic means to separate and to distinguish because on that day, Allah clearly distinguished truth from falsehood. On that day, He gave the believers a sound victory and vanquished the hopes and aspirations of the disbelievers who were attempting to bring an end to the growing Islamic Movement.

The Outlook of Young Imam An-Nawawi

When Imam Nawawi was young, he used to be pursued by the children of his town as they continually asked him to join them in their games.

They used to sneer, jeer, and try every conceivable method to get him to join, but he used to break away from them crying while saying,
