Hey Khadeejah! Welcome to the blog ;)
I agree, sins can and will make a person depressed because your heart naturally will find itself is ease or Tama'neenah when it's obeying Allah and being near to him with good deeds. But when we sin, we're pulling our heart away from Allah and we're hurting it by doing so.

Ameen to your dua

I know exactly how this feels, as i've been there myself, even when i was going to an Islamic school and praying 5 times a day. it wasnt only from problems with family and friends, but from my constant sinning. May Allah save our youth.

Sometimes, the innocence and courage of young individuals never cease to amaze us. Our Imam was once relating a story of how he parked in this area that is normally reserved for sisters during business hours. A young boy came up to him and said, "Imam, you're not allowed to park there." The Imam explained to him that he was here after business hours but could not help but be amazed at how this young child had the courage to tell the truth, even to the most respected...Masha'Allah.

i don't really have a story but something little did happen to me once that made me realize that wisdom does come from unlikely sources. I was yelling at my little brother for something he did but i was really just taking my anger out on him because of a hard day at school. my 3-year old sister came and said, "why are you yelling at him like that? you know curse words are bad and he always does everything for you so you shouldn't be mean to him." i was shocked. i was like, OMG, a 3-year old girl just taught me a lesson. and so, yeah, that was very shocking and wierd.

MashaAllah...this post is amazing! I love how it all came together..

As I read it, I kind of imagined it like a video, where each of the writers is narrating their stories, and there's some moving typography going along with it...kind of like the video br. Belal posted up ( http://khanb.tumblr.com/post/409211002 ).

Kung Fu Panda topped it all of man. ;)
